Claiming your USDT takes about thirty seconds. Most of the friction people hit isn't the claim itself — it's MetaMask not displaying a token it doesn't know about yet.
Here's the whole process, plus the two things that commonly trip people up.
Before you start
You need:
- A balance of at least $3 in available USDT. Not total — available. If your balance is still maturing, see why USDT waits 14 days.
- The wallet you signed in with. Claims always go to your connected address. There's no field to type a different destination, by design.
You do not need any POL (formerly MATIC) in your wallet. More on that below.
Step 1 — Check what's actually available
Open your wallet page. You'll see two numbers:
- Available — matured, claimable right now.
- Pending — credited but still inside the 14-day maturity window.
Only the available figure can be withdrawn. If it's under the $3 minimum, the claim button stays disabled and the page shows how much further you have to go.
Step 2 — Claim
Enter an amount (or hit Max) and confirm.
What happens next is worth understanding, because it's different from most crypto apps: you don't sign a transaction and you don't pay gas. Voraq's treasury wallet executes the USDT transfer to your address and covers the network fee itself.
That means:
- No POL balance required in your wallet.
- No MetaMask popup asking you to approve a transaction.
- No failed claim because you were 0.002 POL short on gas.
You'll get a transaction hash you can open in the block explorer. Once that transaction confirms on-chain, it's irreversible — the USDT is in your wallet and nobody, including us, can reverse it.
Step 3 — Make the token visible in MetaMask
This is where most people think something went wrong.
By default, MetaMask only shows you the network's native coin. Your USDT arrived, the block explorer proves it, but the MetaMask home screen shows nothing — because it hasn't been told this token exists.
Two ways to fix it:
The easy way. On the wallet page, click Add USDT to MetaMask. That fires a
standard wallet_watchAsset request with the correct contract address for the
network Voraq is running on. Approve the popup and the balance appears.
The manual way. In MetaMask: Import tokens → Custom token → paste the USDT contract address. Use the address shown on the wallet page rather than one you found elsewhere — token contracts differ per network, and pasting a mainnet address while connected to a testnet (or vice versa) is the usual cause of "the balance still shows zero."
Also confirm MetaMask is on the right network. USDT on Polygon does not appear while you're viewing Ethereum mainnet.
Two things worth knowing
Your funds are never in our custody. The USDT you claim goes to an address whose private key only you hold. We can't freeze it, spend it, or reverse the transfer. The flip side is that we also can't recover it if you lose your seed phrase — that's the trade-off of self-custody, and it's not one we can soften.
Claims are rate-limited and capped daily. This is an anti-fraud measure, not a liquidity problem. If you hit a cap, the wallet page tells you when it resets.
If something doesn't look right
Check the block explorer first — the transaction hash from your claim is the source of truth. If the transaction confirmed but your wallet shows nothing, it's almost always the token-display issue from step 3, not a lost transfer.
If the transaction genuinely failed, the amount is automatically credited back to your in-app balance; it isn't lost.
